System sizes

Correctly sized for the space.

We offer the most commonly required single-split capacities. Final selection follows a room assessment rather than relying on floor area alone.

Compact rooms9,000 BTU

Often suitable for smaller bedrooms, garden offices and compact workspaces.

Everyday rooms12,000 BTU

A common choice for larger bedrooms, living rooms, conservatories and offices.

Larger spaces18,000 BTU

For larger, warmer or more demanding rooms where additional output is required.

Capacity descriptions are indicative. Glazing, insulation, ceiling height, orientation, occupancy and equipment heat loads all affect the final specification.

Installed FAQs

Before requesting a quotation.

Can the system heat as well as cool?

Yes. The wall-mounted inverter systems provide both cooling and efficient air-to-air heating, giving useful year-round temperature control.

Why is a survey or assessment needed?

Room area alone does not determine the correct unit. Glazing, insulation, orientation, ceiling height, occupancy, heat-producing equipment, outdoor-unit position and pipe route all affect the recommendation and installed price.

Does installation require an F-Gas engineer?

Yes. Split-system refrigerant work must be completed by appropriately certified personnel. Nomad Climate uses its own F-Gas certified installation partner for customer installations.

Is planning permission required?

Many straightforward domestic installations may not require planning permission, but rules and property restrictions vary. Listed buildings, flats, conservation areas, leasehold properties and installations with potential noise or visual impact need particular attention. The property owner remains responsible for obtaining any required permission.

What maintenance is required?

Indoor filters need routine cleaning and the system should be periodically inspected and serviced. We will explain the basic care requirements at handover and can advise on ongoing maintenance.
